Black Pistol Fire @ Chelsea's Thursday 5/10

Black Pistol Fire is an up an coming band from Toronto. They currently reside in Austin.

From their website: "Their wild and energetic rock-and-roll sound has been described as a mix of classic southern rock and garage punk, garnering comparisons to early Kings of Leon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Black Keys, and Clutch. It's clear that the band's sound spans many different eras and subgenres, relying on a classic rock and roll sound that has been updated for our modern times. "

If you are a fan of The White Stripes, Black Keys, Kings of Leon, or similar bands, you will probably find something you like in their music. I saw them last Friday and was surprised that there was only 2 people in the band, a la White Stripes. Soon into the show, it became clear that a lack of a bass player wasn't going to hold this band back from putting on a good show. The guitarist has an awesome stage presence, as well as the drummer. Go see them at Chelsea's this Thursday. It will be a great venue to catch them.
