When I first heard that line on the radio in 1998 I thought it was a pretty goofy thing to say in a song. Since then, from Katrina to heat waves to the various Icemaggedons and floods, the weather has been incredibly interesting. I think Jewel was wrong to dismiss this guy's obvious foresight. In fact, she admits he was brilliant yet could not appreciate the fact that he was sensing being on the cusp of a wild 3 decades climatologically speaking.
