From Facebook:

We wanted to inform everyone that this year’s Oyster Festival has been moved to next year to a date to be determined. Thank you!

When people assumed it was because of upcoming Covid restrictions they said:

For the record, this has nothing to do with Covid. Going to try to get it back closer to an “R” month!

I always wondered why they would try to do an oyster event (where they will mostly be served raw) in the hottest part of the summer. Plus, this would have been one week after the Bandito festival which would definitely cut into their attendance.

It was originally going to be The Gin Blossoms and Cracker. Then The Toadies replaced the Gin Blossoms after 2020 was postponed.

All 3 had other bookings on August 28 prior to the cancel announcement.. at least you'll still have Bandito & BR Blues Festival
