Band/Artist Suggestion Thread

Whether it be new bands, old bands, whatever kind of artist you like and think should be put out that maybe others should give a try 
I've been looking for some more music to give a listen to that maybe I've never heard of before or looked over. And explain why too maybe?
A band I would like to suggest myself is a group called Intervals. They released an EP back in 2012 called "In Time". Was just strict instrumentals that I'll link you to here:
Intervals - In Time - Tapestry (Instrumental)
They released a debut album just recently in march where their bassist took over vocal duties and it fits perfectly. He sounds somewhat like a manlier version of Stump from Fallout Boy....which don't worry...it's not that kind of high pitched voice. Just reminds me of him. But here's another link to their debut album "A Voice Within":

If you just like a straight up, grooving metal band with some solid vocals, I highly recommend.

A pretty obscure album I've really enjoyed:
Musically it probably reminds me of early They Might Be Giants as much as anything though it's not a great comparison. The lyrics are mostly based on dark humor which I enjoy. The songs are pretty catchy and somewhat weird and it's been a go to album for a couple of years.

They are a band that marches to their own beat and doesn't conform to the popular trends in music. This has led them to a sound which is unlike anything in today's music scene. They range from ukulele driven songs about their moms to dark deep raps about mental warfare. Their lead singer Tyler Joseph is a poet who might just change your life with his lyricism. And they also put on a hell of a live show. I'd suggest you listen to their newest album Vessel first before delving deeper into their older stuff. I hope you check them out and enjoy them as much as I have.
