As Downhearted As I Get...

about country music, songs like this bring my hope back. Heard this for the second time on the drive back to Auburn tonight.
"89 cents in the ash tray Half empty bottle of Gatorade rolling on the floorboards That dirty Braves cap on the dash Dog tags hanging from the rear-view, Old skoal can and cowboy boots and an old army shirt folded in the back This thing burns gas like crazy, but that's alright People got their ways of coping oh and I got mine"
Lee Brice-I Drive Your Truck
Any other current country songs that might help renew my hope?

Also heard Merry Go Round by Kacey Musgraves and have to say it's pretty damn deep and dark for top forty type country stations. Not my favorite, but the lyrics are pretty damn well written.
"And it don't matter if you don't believe,
Come Sunday morning you best be there
In the front row, like you're s'posed to.
Same hurt in every heart.
Same trailer, different park."
"Mary Mary quite contrary,
We're so bored until we're buried.
And just like dust we settle in this town."
I know it's a play on an old nursery rhyme, but it still hit me pretty hard. The lyrics are pretty damn close to the truth for many that grow up in a small town.

Damn good song
I just always enjoy a decent song that actually gets played on country radio. I know of tons of country that never gets airtime that's good, but actually hearing something with worthwhile lyrics on the radio just makes me feel better.
