Anyone like Shelter?

I've listened to them off and on for around 15 years now, but they're one of those bands I always wanted to like more but never could get super into them. I love their message, but I think their sound is too all over the place, with too many albums/releases.

I think their sound(s) hasn't/haven't aged particularly well and a lot of it comes off as corny in hindsight. Mantra is great but nowadays some of the tracks sound embarrassingly mid 90's (think Limp Bizkit).

Their next few releases (especially Beyond Planet Earth) they went in a decidedly pop-punk direction, albeit with much deeper lyrical content than the pop punk bands that were gaining steam rapidly at the time. Still, in hindsight, they didn't do the sound particularly well, but again, I think the message is great.

When 20 Summers Pass is probably their marquee album and IMO one of their best - solid, but not that memorable when it comes down to it.
