I've had the fortune to see The Roots perform twice (Bonnaroo in 2007; Roots picnic in Philly in 2008, IIRC), and they're hands down one of the most fun concerts I've been to (counting everything from McCartney and Clapton to Kanye and Rebirth Brass Band).
I would love to see them perform again.

Love the Roots. Saw Jay Z concert where they played with him 75% of the show. Also saw Jay Z without them. It was really good but better with the Roots playing live with him.

This is one of my favorite ever songs.
And beyond that, the Roots are just fantastic. They've put an album either every year or every year for how long now? And yet it's still really damn good.. Just a solid, consistent group.
Also, I've probably seen them live more than I've seen any other band. I count five times off the top of my head.
