i think i agree about just waiting till the actual competition starts to really tune in. some of the shenanigans is so forced.. but 3 people really stood out tonight.

the first girl would make for a terrific actress if she doesn't win this.

the 42 year old women singing gives you chills.

and the last act. that guy still really just impressed. original song and he could really sing. the show had a terrific start, middle, and ending.. mostly everything else was just weird.

I don't really care for that "young homie" song, or that style but the fact that he actually wrote his own stuff and it was polished really sets him apart from stupid dime-a-dozen cover song "artists".

i actually liked young homie, thought it was a good song. and yeah that 42 year old chik was amazing. the first girl was good and she's spunky. she'll have some future.
