Why has the acting in Arrow gotten so bad?

Watching the first episode of the latest season on Netflix. Plus, Oliver walks around and moves like a robot. It’s like he’s over compensating.

The CW superhero shows all have pretty notoriously bad acting. Like Tom Cavanaugh must feel like Daniel Day-Lewis on the set of The Flash with his co-stars’ acting ability.

It's always been terrible.

Come for the awesome DC storylines, stay for the bad acting and forced social agenda.

The guy that plays Barry's adoptive father is legitimately a good actor.

Merlyn in Archer is great too.

That’s because he was in law and order for at least 10 years. He’s already seasoned.

Oh shite, I knew him from somewhere.

I had watched a few CW shows in high school. It's kind of like a proving ground for inexperienced actors.

If you’re watching these shows for the acting, you’re in the wrong place. They’re stupid fun, nothing more, nothing less.

Legends was a blast this year. It’s a low budget, family friendly, Saturday morning Guardians of the Galaxy. They make fun of themselves, the genre, and blatantly steal from every franchise they can think of.

Arrow is a bunch of wannabe ninjas running around and punching/shooting each other. Don’t expect MacBeth, or even Tombstone.

Legends is extremely high budget, actually. It’s been on the chopping block twice because the cost to make it is so high.

Victor Garber quit the show to do stage work and even though they lost a great actor, I’d imagine they were relieved they didn’t have to keep dishing out money to do Firestorm CGI and special effects anymore.
