Not a movie, but my grandmother used to love Murder She Wrote, and I would watch it with her. She had surgery for a brain tumor, personality changes are a common side effect of that. She would get upset by Murder She Wrote, and couldn't watch it any more

I used to like to watch game shows and soap operas with my grandmother.

I think my Granny owned three movies - Sister Act, The Mighty Ducks, and the Little Mermaid. Those were in the rotation a lot. Wheel of Fortune was also a nightly routine whenever I visited.

I think a lot of older folks watch it as a way to keep their minds active. My mom likes to guess the puzzles before the contestants. She does pretty well, too.

I think my Grandparents had every John Wayne movie on VHS. So that's what we'd usually watch. They used to hate hate when I'd beg to put on Star Wars, or like Ghostbusters though lol..
