Yes, that would be the series that aired during my high school days. I liked it/them.

There was a series that ran along with a Spiderman series in the mid/late 80s that sucked. It was really campy and reminded me of the 1960s TV show, but not as likeable...

haha that shite was the bomb.

right now I'd say the Squidbillies but as a kid, Transformers or Garfield or Hulk Hogans Rock N Wrestling. I'm trying to remember, was there a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon (favorite Sunday comic strip)?

No, I just came across it, thought it was cool. Someone did some art on what Watchmen would look like if it were a cartoon made in the 1980's

here is the animated intro.

The series of MGM/Tex Avery "House of Tomorrow" type shorts

While I am the world's biggest Tex Avery fan -- IMHO he is one of the greatest comic filmmakers who ever lived, after Buster Keaton -- the Tomorrow series is far from his best work (Farm of Tomorrow is actually quite weak)

Some of the greatest Avery cartoons:

Red Hot Riding Hood

King-Sized Canary

The first 3 Screwy Squirrels

Northwest Hounded Police

Symphony In Slang

He also made some great ones earlier in his career at Warners, such as Thugs With Dirty Mugs
