Watching the old and new Wheeler Dealers show why I hate Discovery, History, etc

The original WD from the UK had a depth of information and limited sound effects and music. Just an honest show about cars and the deal.

Now on Discovery channel we get blaring heavy metal like music, over the top sound effects and what looks like more show than go.

And it it like this with History and other channels. Layers of sound effects and dramatic music that just gets annoying once you notice it.
