The Shield ..the writing on this is not as good as The Wire or The Sopranos , but the first few seasons are just pulse pounding .You will blow through the first 2 seasons in a week .Just trust me on this.
Friday Night Lights ..just a beautifully acted and directed show.
Mad Men .. Men smoking , drinking and banging chicks. But the end of every show will leave you strangely sad and nostalgic.This is must watch tv.
Firefly ..frick Fox for cancelling this.It's on hulu ..so give it a try.Once you;ve done watching the series ..go watch Serenity. Nathan Fillion is the coolest mfer.

I've tried watching The Shield but it's just not my thing.
I've been wanting to get into The Wire. The Sopranos was my show and I just never bothered watching The Wire while it was on HBO.

Trust me Mr. High, you should watch LOST. I always wrote it off and didn't think I would like it, but it is easily my favorite series. Also, you'd love Freaks & Geeks, but it too was canceled prematurely at the end of the first season.
Would I steer you wrong?

Me and the bf finally got around to watching Band of Brothers recently. Only 10 episodes, but has to be the best miniseries I have ever seen. Also Rome was another one we both liked.
