Good to know. Will be in Scottsdale at the end of July for work, will have to give this a try.
You can purchase your tickets there online ahead of time and pick out your seats. If you go, make sure to get the VIP seats. It's $9 more for them, but those are the ones that are really plush and recline and comes with a pillow, blanket, popcorn and wait service.
The regular seats are just a nice leather seat and you can go to the bar or restaurant and bring your food into the theater with you.
We were there one time and watched a guy obviously on a date with a woman walk in to take their seats(they were sitting in the regular section). His date looked back at our section and you could tell she was not happy he didn't upgrade their seats. VIP section was full so they left. I'm assuming not a good date for the guy, chick looked pissed

What a snob of a woman. You said it yourself the seats weren't cheap. Hopefully he dodged a bullet there.

I figure a theater with a bar would be good if your lady drags you to a chick flick. Get hammered so it's not so bad.

We've gotten spoiled by buying the VIP seats on our very first visit. Now when we go, we only go if there are VIP seats available. Figure if we are gonna splurge for a movie, go big.

The food at Canal Place is shitty. And the shakes at the Alamo Drafthouse (RIP South Lamar) are really good.

We went to one place that served food during the movie. You either sat in a row of leather loveseat type things or you sat in office chairs(yes actual office chairs with rolling wheels) with a lil bar in front of your to place your food on.

Doesn't MGM at Disney have something like this where you sit in a fake car with tables and watch a movie?
