It had potential. I wasn't real clear on how all the governments fell though. Was there a nuclear war?

Things seemed awfully pristine.

That's all I'm saying, I guess I wanted a little more explination of the events leading up to when the movie took place. It wasn't the worst ever, I guess I got too excited about the description.....damn Cox Cable

The book explained things a lot more, and the movie could have gone in depth and explained more. But you saw how long Costner movies fared with the critics

I've only seen Postman once and it was a long time ago. I think I kind of liked it, but felt it was long, hence no rewatch.

Waterworld is a bust simply because of the hype and money spent on its production. With that kind of money put into it, it SHOULD have been much much better. Not the worst movie ever, but a far cry from an above average movie.

I don't hate on Costner. I actually like many of his movies. Bull Durham, For Love of the Game, Field of Dreams, all great baseball movies. I also really liked Mr. Brooks.

Wyatt Earp will always get swept under the rug because it came out so close to Tombstone, which is untouchable in the eyes of many. Tombstone is the more "fun" movie, but Earp is also very good.
