forgot to ask earlier. In that movie, when the first Saiyan space pods arrive, Vegeta says "don't tell me it's..." as if he knows who's in them. I'm sure there are explanations, and I have theories, but Vegeta couldn't detect energy or read power levels until after his fight on Earth. He relied on his scouter. The question is, how did Vegeta know it was Tarble. Surely Vegeta took countless undocumented trips to space for training. Who knows what he's doing out there.

I don't believe he had seen the pod. They all sensed the energy, but Vegeta was the only one who seemed to know who the visitor was.

The point he's making is he didn't learn to sense energy until after he had left planet Vegeta so he'd have no way of knowing what his brothers energy felt like.

He would know what his own energy felt like. And they could differentiate people based on energy. He would be known Kakarot and Gohan's energy was very similar and he would know what another sayain energy felt like as opposed to namekian or human. So he would have sensed a strange energy, identified it as sayain, then identified it as related to his send reasoned out who it was.

I'm pretty sure that Cooler isn't canon, so I think that they will probably just ignore him completely just like how they ignored SSJ4 from GT in Battle of the Gods.
