Got a chance to see it over the weekend and here are my quick thoughts
-Moonee was very funny and likeable but as the film went on I laughed less and less and was just sad by the situation she was in and how she has "no chance"
-Halley may be one of the most unlikeable characters I've seen and I don't know if it's the writing of her or the "actress" that plays her
-Willem Defoe was awesome
Overall I liked the movie though there is a lull about halfway through. I think they could cut 10-15 minutes
The ending was horrible and almost ruins the whole movie. I get that it's supposed to maybe be Moonee's fantasy but it just doesn't work for me

I just watched it. I probably didn't enjoy it as much as the consensus. I thought it was decent, but I agree, the ending was a "WTF" moment. After reading online reviews, I see that some people loved the ending... I'm not one of them.
I do think that the girl who played Moonee deserves an Oscar nod. Dafoe was terrific.
