I agree a lot with what you said. I liked the episode though, and thought it was definitely one of the better ones to date. That being said, it's still fun to rip on the show.

I want to start with saying that the fence doesn't really bother me at all. It's not really made to nt allow any person to slip through...it's made as a general defense for the city and to keep dinos out. And it serves that purpose for the most part. Just wanted to get that out of the way since so many people like to hate on the fence.

Should've been some sort of protocol for what to do in the event of an emergency (like the bomb, for example).

Shannon's in a coma for three days, and his ears happen to stop ringing about a minute or two after he wakes up? Good for him.

And I agree on his acting to fool the soldiers. I guess they are really inept to keep buying that whole act and not even question it. Like you said, even a hobbled Shannon is still Taylor's #1 right-hand man.

I loved how the bar owner is all of a sudden just some good dude we're supposed to believe is good, when they spent half the season telling us how bad he is.

The whole Lucas/Skye interaction is just weird and kinda creepy...brother/sister and lovers appear to mean the same thing around there. And how stupid are both of them to trust the other. All of a sudden she comes up to you wanting to set up Taylor, and you just buy it no questions asked, Lucas?

Leaving Skye to watch Lucas by herself was one of the biggest gaffes of the show IMO. That was just stupid.

Loved the dino getting loose in 2149. That was cool. And they actually showed it chomping on people, which is a welcome change to the show.

Lucas is cold enough to shoot Wash in the face, but takes it so easy on others? That doesn't make sense, and his inconsistencies made it difficult to buy into him as a character (not to mention how bad of an actor he is anyway).

Agreed on Shannon immediately knowing the coordinates. Did they launch satellites that I don't know about? How else could he follow tracking signals or (basically what amounts to be) GPS coordinates on his little radar thing? But I was okay with it since it was a somewhat cool idea to have them communicate via bullets removed from the enemies with shite written on them.

Also agreed on the transmitter device...fricking HIDE the damn thing, Shannon. You might as well have just taped it to the windsield.

Taylor getting weak and hugging his son was stupid, and I expect more of him. Same with shooting Lucas and not making sure he was dead. Also, they were standing RIGHT NEXT TO HIS BODY during that scene...they didn't hear or see or even slightly notice that he walked/crawled away? bullshite.

I liked the ship angle at the end. Too bad we'll never get to see what that's all about.

Also, I don't think they would've kept Shannon and his son in the same holding cell. Just bad form on the part of the soldiers.

All in all, I liked the episode, and really the show overall. It obviously could've been better given the plot, but it's something that I did enjoy watching every week. I do feel like they tried to do too much in the finale though, and the whole thing just felt rushed...I mean, this "war" has been building up all season, and you skip out on it completely (from the bomb explosion to Shannon waking three days later). Weak. Too much was crammed into this episode. I do hope it's picked up for a second season though, as it's kind of a guilty pleasure for me, and like always, it's fun to make fun of it.

And he has no lingering symptoms.

Hell, he's throwing punches in a matter of minutes.
