I watched a ton of TV while shut in during the Houston winter storm and ran through this series. Only one season.

It held my attention but can’t recommend unless you have exhausted content. The acting was great with the female lead terrific. I wanted more of every scene “John” was on screen.

But in the end, it had too much going on for my taste. Too many story lines that shot off in different directions. I wish they would have spent more time focusing on the primary story. Perhaps should have been 8 episodes instead of 10.

Anyway, you may like it more than I did even though I finished the series rather quickly. The main plot line kept me engaged and “John” was a great character arc. Filmed in Louisiana

Not finished yet but it's better than most of the series to me. Give it a shot.

I enjoyed it. The mother of the dead girl (forget actress's name) has annoyed me since the Leftovers . I thought it was decent, but I always end up enjoying stuff filmed in La, if not for the scenery. I was hoping this would be a limited series with a tidied ending, but it is apparent they are going to be making another season in my opinion. The lead actress is always good in stuff so that wasn't surprising. Was this based on a book or comic of some sort? I got that vibe from the second half of the series for some unknown reason.

TLDR: definitely worth a watch in my opinion.
