You can still be a feel good show without making everyone cartoonishly nice and every bad guy is not actually bad but instead misunderstood

The feel good nature of the show is what draws you in, but without the realism they introduce in the relationships (Lassos kid/divorce, the struggle trying to bring a team together etc), there wouldn’t be anything to actually care about

Nate turning evil turned season 2 around because the first half everyone was literally like a Mr Rogers character and every problem was solved by just being sweet and kind, which was kind of exhausting without any contrast to it. I mean I’m sure they’ll give Rupert a nice little redemption as well since he’s spoken on the show before

Yeah but you’re pulling for Nate all through season 1. It would leave a bad taste in my mouth if it ended without him coming back around and seeing the light from Lasso
