Fake video. I would know, I was duped by it a few months ago. They would never continue anyone else's vision beside their own. This is their brand new continuity for Spidey.

And Dr. Strange if you view Kamar-Taj as a magical corporation.
They stick with what works. As long as people line up for their films, they're going to alternate between corporate intrigue and Infinity Stones for the majority of their films.

It would be interesting if this universe had multiple Spider-Men (like Peter Parker and Miles Morales storylines). But simultaneous arcs work more for comic books and less so for movies.
