I just started it last night. I watched the first 2 episodes and so far I find it fantastic.

Not sure about fantastic, but definitely a fun show.
Hoult plays a great dickhead czar that somehow manages to be a bit likeable even though you know he's going to be usurped (and deserves it).
Feels weird seeing Dakota Fanning as an attractive adult. Shows how old I'm getting, I guess.
AS a history guy, the anti-history quality annoys me, but at least it's honest and upfront about being mostly fiction.

Ive been catching up with this show after a long break (watched season 1 during covid) and enjoying it. The actors are all likeable and it doesnt take itself serious so it makes for a fun watch. Ill probably finish it in the next few weeks.
Saw that it ends after season 3 but I guess thats a pretty good run these days.
