Slight derail: Because of this board I started to watch Smallville. Had never seen it. On Season 7 now. Obviously, I'm not in the intended target demo at my age, but it's still enjoyable. Agree with the predominant sentiment here - this is the best live action iteration of Clark Kent (and Lex, for that matter). The first couple of seasons you can tell had the Buffy tVS framework with a Superman shell. There's a lot of clunky episodes but, at its core, it drives the "why is Superman the way he is" story along pretty well. And the Clark/Lana thing has dragged on way too long but that's to be expected in a show like this. Not to venture into dirty old man territory but Kristen Kreuk was adorable. And holy smokes, is Erica Durance good looking. Easily the best looking Lois Lane ever. However, John Glover steals the show. Just a perfect JR Ewing type character you love to hate. It ain't Shakespeare but a fun little Superman show.
