I agree. Did he not have any family there tonight? I heard Ryan say he wanted to get to Hollywood so his family could come out. They've shown just about everyone else's families.

I'm not questioning his "legitimacy" as a survivor 
I know plenty of people who lost everything due to Katrina. They don't go on about it, just as I don't think he would if he weren't prompted by the Idol production team. It's undeniable that the media likes to play on the emotional factor of natural disasters. I don't hold it against him. Just think the Idol people are using it to up their drama factor
