American Idol misses Simon in a big way. Honestly, can you imagine Simon praising Phillip Phillips's constant lack of melody, as these others do? I can't. And I think Simon would have blistered PP's second performance tonight.

I have to give credit where it is due, Josh brought it hard on that last song. I just watched it again. That was my favorite by him this season.

1. Hollie (Two Great Performances)
2. Josh (First one was okay, the last was awesome)
3. Skylar (Two solid performances)
4 and 5 I don't care.

I know I'm slightly biased, but Skylers first performance was awful. I'm behind watching it recorded. I have only seen two of the last performances.

It's all about preference at this point. Obviously, I am a Hollie fan but I am a country music fan and like Skylar. Tonight wasn't her best but I was still impressed by her as a performer.

I think exactly the opposite. Her performance was awful. She screamed and was rapping again in the first one. However, her second one was WAY better. I just watched it and she is so much more likable when she doesn't get all amped up.
But I despise women country singers, so maybe that's why I don't like her.

If you are going to watch shows like this. You have to show some type of bias.
I love these singing shows. I have watched all these seasons of Idol. I was in to it before but this is the most I have ever been invested. It's like it is personal.
