Seems as though I get a lot of "whirligigs" when streaming Amazon as opposed to Netflix. My Samsung TV is 6yrs old, coincidence?

Netflix is the best for me.

I’d get a streaming box.

No. Not a coincidence. The streaming ability of a smart TV generally sucks to begin with. At least one that old. Get a Fire Stick or Roku stick. It'll work much better unless your internet sucks balls

That is because Netflix has its own server installed at your ISP.. you shouldn’t ever have issues streaming Netflix

Anyone who doesn’t use Kodi is doing it all wrong anyways. Sure you have to pay in order to make it flawless but for $15 a month you can not only get every channel in perfect 1080p but you can also get every movie and show ever in the highest res it was ever offered in so 4K for new stuff.

Just got a new lg smart tv. Netflix is gorgeous on it, as far as user interface. Amazon kind of annoys me but the streaming quality isn’t the reason.

Netflix almost never freezes. I mean it does, sometimes...but it's rare. And mostly it will just pause for a few seconds and twirl and then resume in bad resolution and then the normal resolution comes back quickly.

Amazon Prime will pretty much always totally freeze during a movie but you just hit the back button and hit resume and then it works fine for the rest of the movie.

Youtube is the king of freezing for streaming via wifi to smart TVs. You have to turn off your TV and then you lose the place you were in the documentary. And it always, always, always freezes before the program is over. Sometimes once every 10 minutes.

I just wish Amazon would keep my settings. Sorry baws, I don't want to see shite I have to buy so stop making me turn that off every time I turn the app on.

I still can't get streaming live TV to work on my Kodi. Tried the Tech board and no one answers questions there.

Well my friend I’ll help you! Just buy a subscription to Vader Streams from the cheapest reseller you can find, install their app and BAM you have perfect streaming TV. I got mine for $130 a year but you try it for a month for around $20 to make sure you love it. It’s literally just like DirecTv so you should and it’s just as easy, if not easier, to install as any other Kodi app.

ETA: the reason people get frustrated with Kodi is they don’t want to pay a penny. If you pay for Vader Streams to get live TV and spend like $3 a month for Real Debrid to get movies/tv you get it to work EXACTLY the way you always dreamed it would.

I’m not a big fan of either amazons or Netflix’s interface. I wish they would just have a list view option available to show all movies in alphabetical order, release date, or rating instead of showing them in just some random order I have to keep scrolling through

It's better than that bullshite Hulu did to theirs recently. It's blatantly made to look nice for still pictures advertising tablets but is shite to use.

Thanks for the tip. Vader Streams came bundled in with the Titanium build I recently installed. I'll have to check it out.

I assume these are both illegal?

(Not that I have any issues with that, but some people might when considering their options)

Vader Streams is an IPTV service. Nothing illegal about it. Everyone is doing it these days.

Real Debrid is essentially a specialized download manager - doesn't do anything you don't tell it to. Now, if you configure it to torrent, (assuming that is even a feature - I'm not a RD user, so I'm not certain if I'm even talking about a feature within it, so users forgive me), then you could run afoul of some copyrights, but the technology itself is not illegal.

I don't know, maybe. I do know that the only people who have ever gotten in trouble are the providers though and millions of people use these services.

Ya you should, it makes it work exactly like DirecTV as long as you get 25+mps to your device. I believe there are some resellers that even offer 24 hour trials for a couple bucks and since you already have it installed you would just have to enter the login and password to your Vader Streams app and you would be good to go.
