Napoleon is a comedy, change my mind

It hit me about halfway through the film that Ridley Scott made a comedy, not a historical drama.
My entire theater (which was only like 20 ppl) was laughing their asses off. At first it was small laughs at the absurdity of it all, but then it turned into a real comedic theater experience. Whether it was intentional or unintentional, I don't know. But it was hilariousm
The coup scene is straight out of a Three Stooges or Buster Keaton sequnece.
The sex scenes probably got the biggest laughs of them all.
Vanessa Kirby played Josephine as just a complete over the top whore, and it was funny, but Phoenix was basically doing his Doc Sportello performance, just dressed in Napoleon's ridulous costume the entire time, and he stole the show.
If you actually try to digest it like a serious film, it's shite. As a comedy however, it's quite OK.

Well, we had that big thread two weeks ago about a review online calling it a comedy. But that person seem to revel in it, to not take it seriously.

It would be a comedy of errors if it wasn't so tragic.
