What was the film with Eckhardt and another guy who both date the deaf girl from their office? I liked that one, Your Friends and Neighbors(I think the same writer or director). Also the film with Nicholson looking for the pedo/murderer (also w/Eckhardt).. Tired, can't think of the names right now..OK, In the Company of Men and The Pledge

City of God is another..
ETA The Acid House and even Trainspotting was disturbing at times. Look for Filth later this year to be pretty fricked up. Come to think of it, The Wall would have to be there.. ok, i'm done.

Gummo
Dancer in the Dark/Anti-Christ
The Virgin Spring
Cries and Whispers
The Damned
Night and Fog
Vengeance is Mine
Lilya 4-Ever
Hell House

Requiem is an easy answer but its self-indulgence annoys me.
