Apparently this is not the same Dee who was banned a few seasons ago.

No it's a different one. This girl won survivor and is attractive. I don't watch survivor but everyone said this was a home run choice.

This franchise has continued to decline over recent years. They continue to put out the same old “veterans” and they overestimate the fans interest in these players. Also, the game outcome is affected too much by alliances and friendships that happen outside the game.

Also, as they keep putting in the older veterans, the challenges, or at least the individual elimination challenges, seem to keep getting softer.

They need all new players every season and then do an all-star cast every fifth season.

I’ve been off for many seasons.
Have they mostly gotten away from the partying and fighting sideshows? Because that was fun.
Also as the game has evolved seems like the players especially Vets have gotten shrewd enough to cut down on excessive drama.

The veterans are what keeps this show around. There is a reason it's the longest running reality tv show in the world. They cast much better than survivor and big brother overall. It's mostly DEI cast members on those shows now.

The challenge has gotten their best cast members this season like Dee, America and Sydney. Bananas, CT, Derrick, Darrel need to be on every season. Obviously the show will never get back to the goat era but this is still the best reality tv show out there since 1998.

no doubt. They need to get away from the workout clips and slo motion running around the yard and go back to the fun stupid fun challenges like the old days and less puzzles. Just from the trailer it looks to be a good season. More physical eliminations and some fun goofy games like the mario go kart races mixed in with some trivia and wild crazy challenges.

The thing that elevates it over big brother and survivor even more is the change of locations. Big brother is stale and boring studio, while survivor goes to the same location the last decade in Fiji. The location is a big part of the season and overall feel. Chile looks great

Still there, but it's definitely toned down some with so many of these people being friends off the camera.

The vets coming back all the time helps the show overall but some just need to go. Aneesa #1 and #2 on that list, but people are sick of Nany and Leroy and some others as well.

I agree. Aneesa is the one that confuses us every season. She's like the jordan Jefferson of the challenge. She must have nude pictures of the show runner. There are many other veteran women that should have taken her spot. I'll get nany back just because she's single now and the old nany was much better than the boring tied down relationship nany. Just from the trailer it looks like the old Nany is back.

I wish they would go back into the wild into bars and restaurant bars with the public again. So many smoke shows on this season.

I'd say it's been tone down hugely. It's probably a combination of, "it's just how things are now," and a lot of players are simply older, more mature adults.

Are there arguments? Sure. But I miss the days when every other episode players were getting in fights with each other, getting in fights with some rando at the bar with his face blurred out, throwing ragers at the house, and skinny dipping. That's all pretty much gone.

And I'm sure it's a liability thing, but every time they "go out," it's always to the same bar/restaurant and you can tell it's reserved for just them - again probably as a way to prevent brawls with some random local, especially abroad.

ETA: I used to watch some of the original "Challenges" back when they were still Real World vs Road Rules. My ex didn't watch those, but got into the Challenge a few years back. I watched it with her, enjoyed it well enough but I said to her many times "Where are the brawls and the partying?" "Where are the challenges when the female contestants had to compete in bikinis?"

This new class could bring that back this season. They have some smoke shows. More drinking and partying and less workout routines

Yeah. Those were the days. I could see them going back now because how many people in Chile truly know who these people are when they go to some random bar. Plus you have security now i reckon. I mean doesn't Jersey shore still do this?

Olivia found out she was pregnant. So that means she was pregnant inside the challenge 41 house for Theo's baby.

in about 5 years we could have a season with the OG's and their 18 year old kids. Let's start a whole new generation of real world/road rules misfits.

I feel like the thing that hurts the challenge on ratings now is that The Real World and Road Rules aren't all on paramount to stream for people. It's ridiculous how they can't have this streaming. It's 2025

There are zero Road Rules on Paramount and only half the Real World seasons on there.

Also like 15 of the 40 challenges aren't available for streaming.
