Idea is that rapture occurs and all these devout followers of Faith(all) disappear.

CNN covering a soldiers funeral and all of sudden the Westboro people protesting suddenly dissappear or something.

That God is the Old Testament God, and has taken his own who have followed the word, and those who are left better start aligning themselves with Satan because armageddon is coming.

That today's society of openess, freedom, tolerance, etc,etc,etc......is all just incarnations of the Devil to circumvent and dilute the word of God.

That most people in the world today are just the devil's pawns, and that they now have to try to side with the Devil and try to kill God before he kills them.

how should this idea be approached? Comedy/sci-fi or Horror Apocalypse?

The religious aspects of it I would hold off to the end as in a reveal......thinking of having a MIddle-Easterner spewing biblical code as the bad guy....and smooth talking "no hate" American as the Good guy.

how far have most people strayed from the word, that's the idea. In 60 years things flipped, what was classified as evil is good, and what was classified as good is now evil.

the story idea is to just following out the path from the perspective of the devout.
