I think it would work PERFECTLY, as Castle and Murdock are constantly at odds with each other to the point where Murdock is the prosecuting attorney against him on more than one occasion.
Furthermore, Castle could be a reoccurring character in all five series.
Ghost Rider and Blade could appear in Doctor Strange.

Exactly what I was thinking. I know they usually only list two past movies for an actor in those article but I'd pick the Right Stuff as his most iconic role. (The scene between him and Ed Harris about zippers and wicks
) Though now that you mention it, his role in Urban Cowboys was pretty damned good too.
