I just found out that the same guy that made The Dark Crystal made Labyrinth (Jim Henson)

I just found out the same guy that won a title for the bulls also won a title for North Carolina (Michael Jordan)

Reality: Not everyone keeps up with the names and faces of directors and other important off screen figures in the cinematic world. Especially ones that peaked before we were even born. Some of us are just casual movie goers.

Weak comparison to MJ btw.

Poll 100 random people at any given city in the US with a picture of Jordan and a picture of Henson and ask them who each is. 85+ would name Jordan. Maybe 1 would name Henson. Maybe.

It's odd how much offense you took to my lack of knowledge on this subject.

You turned a mole hill into a mountain.

I’m just teasing. I haven’t seen the dark crystal myself.

To me it’s just another cheesy 80s film. 80s films have always had a knack for aging horribly

It was cheesy. Very.

I just thought they killed it with the set pieces and practical effects. That film took a lot to pull off.
