That's what I assumed as well, but she definitely never physically closes the door (on screen). But it wasn't constant fire though, just a wave of fire that was flowing outward from the laser. It likely passed her in a matter of a couple of seconds...I can definitely buy that it went by her in that closet surrounded by thick arse concrete.
