Why? It's pretty obvious they find him

I was hoping he died. I hated his character, especially for imprisoning and torturing that kid

Yeah think it is obvious they find him, that guy never has a case left open.

Flawed film. Didn't really get the hype.

I was sure he was going to be found after the credits roll.

Although he is going to spend an insane amount of time in jail for kidnapping a kidnapped child and mercilessly beating the hell out of him.

Begs the question...is it better that he not be found? Should he die for his crimes?

The dad was a good guy who ended up doing a bad thing to save his child, even though he got the wrong person.

The ending is so you know he was found. If it went any farther then they would have to arrest him which kind of puts a damper on the whole movie

Wait, what?

Are you saying they wouldn't have arrested him if he was found?

Where did I say that? Lol.

I said the movie ends in a way where you know he is found but they don't actually show him getting rescued.

If the movie went any farther, it would have shown them rescuing him and then arresting them. Which would have put damper on the movie

Got it. Just didn't get all that from your wording.

I don't think you can really be a "good guy" if you endlessly imprison and torture a mentally disabled teenager.

The guy was a father who was trying to find his kidnapped child and he knew the mentally ill guy was connected or knew something (which he did).

Was what he did wrong? Obviously. But he was doing it to find his daughter (again not saying that makes it ok. Just gives him "good guy" reasoning)

He was not the villain in this movie.

He thought the boy wasn't actually disabled

Ok, but what he did is not excusable. It portrayed him as a violent sociopath in my opinion. I couldn't root for him in the movie.

I couldn't either, but I had to think what would I do if my child had been kidnapped and I was certain I knew who did it?
