Has anyone used the streaming service "Movie Box Pro?"

A friend sent me an invite to a "private club" that allows you to stream 30,000 movies for $25/year. It's called Movie Box Pro. It's by invitation only. It's seems sketchy, but the platform looks really good. A lot of stuff on early release is on there, like Sing 2. It didn't cost a cent more than the yearly membership fee.
The user policy does seem weird. It mentions it being a web hosting service but not a streaming service. It's not available to download on any of the app stores. You have to download an .apk to get the app and only if you are invited by a member.
Is this a scam? Illegal like Napster? Safe to use? Am I going to jail just writing about it?
