People are sick of bad super hero movies, but they never tire of good movies with likable characters in known franchises. There is definitely a void in the type of movies that are being made, and franchises like Marvel (and yes to a lesser extent F&F) are doing a great job of filling by crossing over multiple genres in very creative and effective ways imo.

I don’t have any problem with these movies when they are executed at the level that Marvel has consistently pulled off. Great casts, interesting and well planned out stories, excellent production value and scripts that deliver to both older and younger audiences.

These aren’t guilty pleasure movies, they are quality entertainment by some very talented filmmakers imo.
