No Holds Barred. Awesome as a very young kid, when Rock N Wrestling was at it's peak. Horrible past the age of 11.

Hulk Hogan may have "paved the way" for wrestlers to branch out and do movies. But I wouldn't ever say he's even a good actor.

Santa with Muscles.

Didn't know until the last time I saw it that Mila Kunis and Brenda Song, briefly, were in it.

I obviously need to see No Holds Barred. Looks like it's being released on DVD on July 3rd.

Thinder in Paradise was a great TV show and had a great theme song.

I don't think anyone would claim this, but there's no denying his importance to the sport. As for acting, The Rock would not be the huge star he is today without Hulk Hogan paving the way back then so you have to give him props for that.

And No Holds Barred is easily my favorite of his. I'm sure it's terrible but I haven't seen that since I was a kid and might watch it sometime now.

RIP EM!!

As much as I dislike Hogan now, there's no doubt what he did for wrestling (sports entertainment) and creating that bridge to Hollywood for future wrestlers.

He had mainstream appeal and made the most of it. Rock has had some real stinkers too (Tooth Fairy), but he's had his share of good roles too (Scorpion King).

Big Show has actually been in a few movies too and shown that in the right role, he can act. And you are right. None of this is possibly, or easily as accepted, without Hogan doing those shite movies back in the 80's.

When you go back in watch No Holds Barred, just remember, it's painful to watch how bad it was and think back to how much you enjoyed it and thought it was awesome as a kid.
