“Deadpool & Wolverine” has become the highest-grossing R-rated title of all time, surpassing Warner Bros.' “Joker.”
With $516.8 million in domestic ticket sales and $568.8 million from international audiences, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has exceeded $1.085 billion globally.
The feat not only showcases the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s durability at the box office after a series of recent misfires, but it also suggests that Marvel Studios can delve into darker content in the future without alienating moviegoers.

I believe that the comic based movies need to mature.
As the fans have grown older, the stakes and language have gotten darker. That doesn't mean you change a wholesome Cap, Spiderman, or Superman..
It just means better stories, more mature decisions, and yes the violence gets turned up a notch to show how bad a bad guy could be.
Make a kids movie here and there but develop the stories to grow with the audience.

Or not do any of that and just let people who are passionate about the characters and have legit creative skills do their thing.
