I have only seen 2 movies in 3D, Tron and MIB3. I was impressed with how much better the 3D was with MIB3 and how much closer I felt to the action as compared to Tron. Has 3D come a long way, is it just MIB3, or is there a difference between regular 3D and IMAX 3D?

From what I gather and in my experience, not all "IMAX" screens are the same. I saw Avengers in 3D at a good theater, and the picture was great. However, I also saw it a 2nd time at the IMAX on the boardwalk in Shreveport, and it was hands down better. Quality of the 3D was incredible, I thought.

well tron was shot in 2d then they added in 3d effects after the movie so it sucked, i saw it in 3d and you can take your glasses off 90% of the movie and there is no blur to the screen.
i saw avengers in imax 3d in nola at elmwood palace. it was amazing, as well as hugo there... both were great.

im not a fan of 3d, but sometimes movies are just better that way like avatar and piranha 3d.... but 90% of the time 3d movies are let downs like alice in wonderland... which blew hard
