Did anyone venture out to see that new Apollo 11 documentary?

I saw it in the theater on Friday night and was absolutely floored by how well done it was.

The upgrades they did to the original negatives make the majority of it look like it was shot by one of today's HD film cameras. There is no narration, no interviews, just a perfectly told story of the flight from launch to splashdown, told by the footage on the screen and the audio of the flight controllers and astronauts. Diagrams were brought onto the screen to explain some of the flight's more complex maneuvers, but beyond that, all of the footage they used was filmed in 1969.

I absolutely adored this film and can't possibly give it a higher recommendation.

Final Grade: A+
