T-myth is on point. I was still disappointed that it wasn't available on Cox "on demand."

Honestly, I am not sure what to think of that episode. I really feel kind of dumb founded/ completely neutral, no feelings at all.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
In the 5 minutes we did not see since the last episode: Rush's beard appeared to grow a good bit; Eli shed a few L-bees; Chloe went from death bed, ghastly looking to normal; crazy alliance guy finds a conscience and set of morals.
^ only thing I thought about Chloe, was maybe it was a side effect of being abducted previously.
I REALLY can't believe Lou did not die. I did not think he would stay a main character on the show.
yep, exactly what I thought.
Seems plausible. Overall that episode was just kind of weird, and it did not feel very thought out.
So, there are god like aliens out there? Boy did they frick up by not staying on that planet. Wonder if we already know them (ascended ancients maybe)?
The purple mass reminded me of this:

I hate that so many from the Lucien Alliance survived because now that means another split arse crew infighting.

Er... couldn't the bad guys have threatened to go back through the gate to kill all of the crew if Rush did not turn the shields up?

Certainly plausible that they are ascended ancients although it seems unlike ascended ancients to give a crap about a baby or anyone for that matter.
Also, the aliens seem to be way more technologically advanced than the ancients. The ancients couldn't even defeat the wraith so I don't think they were into planet building.
I am sure we will find Chloe was injected with nanobites that healed her or some nonsense from her abduction. All season she will probably display new abilities as the show morphs into heroes.
Just joking.

It is hard for me to wrap my head around, but the ancients and ori were the oldest in our galaxy? two galaxies? what was the scope of their reign. I remember their were 4 races, Ancients, the Asgard, the Furlings, and the Nox. But was this just in our galaxy? I thought the Ori were in a different galaxy. What is bigger than a galaxy but less than the universe, does that measure exists?
Anyways, point is, these beings would likely be older than that. I mean the ancients fired this ship trillions of years ago or something? And they have people on the other side of the universe making planets? Could those beings be "the" beings, creators of all?
I'm really hoping the show makes the universe a shpere, and the Destiny ends up back at Earth, which is "its destiny".

I sure hope it doesn't try to get this deep. I got tired of all the religious nonsense on BSG and I am not anti-religion.
I doubt the destiny is remotely that far away if they were able to get to it from a gate. In the scope of the universe they probably have moved about an inch.
I still don't get why they aren't doing more ship exploration episodes. I liked those well enough on Atlantis and it saves them cash. Then they can give us some actual gate travel since they saved enough peanuts that the bean counters won't be angry.
One line from the 1st episode I didn't quite get.
Before the LA new about the shields being down, the head guy told the chick to start the countdown clock. She said she couldn't because of a power drain.
That means she has the ability and knowledge to start it but the drain stopped her.
Does this signal the end of the countdown clock. Does the LA know how to stop and start the clock even though they have never been on the ship.
Oh and once again, why exactly were were so many of the LA willing to die for a ship a zillion miles from anywhere?
We are in season 2. Time for at least a few little answers. This isn't lost.

I think it was just stopped; so, chronie said to start it, without knowing what that entailed. That chick looks like she will take on a role in the show; so, she might be the girl Rush with a lot of ancient knowledge. However, that is not the impression I got. To me it was just:
"hey the clock stopped"
"ok, start it back then"
"can't start it back" = there is something preventing the clock from working, that I can not control. She did not start it in the first place, the ship did because it knew it could jump. Rush put the ship in a position where it could not jump. I do not think either one can control the clock directly.

Yeah, I thought they were gonna say why, when crazy chronie was going off about "you know why we came to this ship/ need this ship. We came here prepared to die for it" or something of that nature before he got killed. Alas, nothing was revealed though.

Maybe. Checked the wiki page and it says the ship left millions of years ago. Millions of years at FTL, I don't know how far that is because I do not know how fast they are traveling.

Yeah but it was still in reach of the super gate, so I still think they have barely moved in the scope of the universe.
And you are right about the clock. I was just grasping at straws for any hope the damn clock will end.

I liked Voyager too. Just wasn't a fan of Janeway. Enterprise was actually getting better when it ended. I loved the alternate universe episodes. Especially the different opening theme song.
There is a reason you can't remember the names of the crew on Universe. They are all forgettable. It has nothing to do with your memory. I am not sure I have ever watched a show that all the way through a season, I didn't know the names of the characters.
I know Rush and Eli and that is it. Simple truth is that although the show is dark they really haven't developed anyone fully.
Oh, Chloe and her new mystery healing power. I know her.
There is permanent smirk black soldier guy. Big Tits soldier chick. Asian bitch. 3rd string scientist guy. And then the chief and co-chief. And Lou Diamond.
I maintain it is not warming on you as much as you think if you can't remember the names of the crew after a full season. And I'm sticking to it.
I had a long reply thought up, but then realized that it could be better phrased and represented by saying "well that's just like your opinion, man."

The proof is in the pudding. You can't remember the names of the characters after a full season.
