I highly suggest giving this a watch. Originally a one man show off-broadway in New York, it ran for 525 shows and started creating a huge following. Celebs and other famous folk would fly in just to attend. It's only about 90 minutes long.
Hard to give you a synopsis of what it is "about", but it is one of the most unique things I have seen in a while. The show combines great storytelling, with illusion, and a deep dive into how we see ourselves and how others see us. Interestingly enough it was directed by Frank Oz....yes, that Frank Oz....the guy who put the muppets on the map, voiced and brought Yoda to life and who directed Little Shop of Horrors.
Granted, it is probably not gonna be something for folks that are not interested in human instrospective examination or who have strong conservative leanings....but if you have somewhat of an open mind and are open to exploring what makes people tic, then you should enjoy this.
IF anyone has seen it I am intrested in your take-away.

I watched it about 3 or 4 months ago and was blown away. I watched it again the same week. I agree that it's hard to give much of a synopsis. I've told people just to watch it and not to read or seek out anything about it.
He also wrote a book that digs into his life a bit more. The book was fine but nothing special and a really misses the "tricks" from the show.

It's difficult to explain or put into a box. It's very interesting at minimum. I really enjoyed it.

I thought it was very interesting and thought provoking. It's kind of in a space on it's own. I think this is why those that have watched refrain from trying to try to describe it to others.
