Who do you watch and why?

I like Jay better. Headlines on Monday nights is my favorite thing he does. Another reason I like him better is I think Kevin Eubanks and The Tonight Show Band is better than Letterman's band. I will watch Letterman if he has a guest on that I like and Leno has a guest I don't care for.

FWIW Leno is in the hospital and his re-run last night had more viewers than Letterman's new episode/show.

Yeah, I hope he will do it on his new show. I like Conan but I don't see him doing Headlines as good as Jay does.

jay by miles and miles. jay has a great personality and doesn't take himself too seriously while letterman is a disgruntled, east coast hack who couldn't get laughs at a roast of fricking PJ.

Letterman's show now pretty much sucks. I'm surprised he's still on the air.

However, Letterman's show on NBC in the '80s was the funniest and most inventive late night show I've ever seen. It was like The Man Show every night (several writers worked on both programs).

If you only know Letterman from his CBS show you've never really seen him, and certainly never seen him at his best.

+1.

When I was younger and Letterman was good, I only watched Dave.

Now he's a bitter, political douche.

I watch Leno if I watch any late-night at all. Jay is funny and doesn't take himself too seriously. I don't need mean political commentary in my supposed-comedy late night show.

Letterman and for me it's not even close. I understand that the ratings say Leno is better but I honestly can't stomach his show. When it starts to air at 9 that is an hour I will never have a conflict tivoing.

You were the only one to say Letterman and I respect your honest opinion.

Leno is fricking horrendous....I have no idea how people find him funny..he is by far the worst interviewer on late night shows.

Conan is my fav. cause he is great improviser during the show.....which he learned from Dave....so Dave 100% over Leno..I find Leno unwatchable.

Remember people go and watch movies like "Epic Movie" also and that movie does better than great movies.

I miss the Leno of the 70's and 80's who was so bitter and sarcastic that he made Letterman look like a cheerleader.

Dave's lost some energy but he's still a better interviewer/host than Leno. If Leno's show consisted of him doing stand-up for an hour, I'd watch it every night.

I used to like Leno but I saw Letterman live and now I think he owns Leno.

The thing that kills me about Leno is that he is horrible at interviewing people. Also is intro/standup part is so lame and stale, particularly after you've seen Jimmy on Southpark.

Letterman was great live. Talked to the audience for like 15 minutes before the show started and had some inside jokes running though the show. Interviews much better than Leno.
