I'm no fan of CNN but they do Science and Technology really well. I was finally able to watch the 4 part Documentary of The Columbia disaster and it will probably leave you a little pissed off at the arrogance and hubris of NASA managers that ignored (or swept under the rug) obvious signs the Shuttle was in peril. They've had records of other foam-strikes from other Shuttle Mission and they got lucky this had not happened before.

I guess my question is since this was a 16 day mission could anything have been done to rescue the crew? Could a "rescue ship" have been launched in time?

Good Watch.

Including O'Keefe.

Between him and Alleva, LSU sure likes to take other people's garbage.

NASA lost its top sled dog title after two avoidable shuttle disasters. India, China and SpaceX lead now. Nasa Boeing and the CST are a billion dollar flop. The landing of the "first person of color and first female on the Moon" is coming close.
