Having read the books I enjoyed it but was thinking of the book with each scene.
Not reading it gives you a different advantage, enjoying and taking in the story without that baggage.
Either way it's a great film.

I watched it with zero prior knowledge and enjoyed it.
At the recommendation of some folks on this board, I watched it with subtitles on, and I’m glad I did. It helped with names, and a lot of the movie was difficult to hear well.
