what/when do you say was the catalyst/turning point?
when Jesse started caring about that girl and her kid and Walt in turn poisoned the kid. The writers have pretty much said straight out, that they wanted to write a show where the protagonist turned antagonist through the show. A show where you loved the guy at first, but by the end you hated him.

That makes sense. So either they're setting Walt up to end the show as an anti-hero .. or as the villain. Parallel to Don Draper's story arc in some fashion.

I don't watch Madmen so I can't comment on that but he will most likely be the bad guy in the end.

Wouldn't this be Walt?

I would say the turn around started when Walt let Jessies girl choke on her own vomit.

I thought the OP was implying this was Jesse. Just checking.

frickin' Heel Turn FTW
It appears the writing team may have been fans of pro wrestling.

Does anyone think Jesse's drug habit will come back into play? I don't think Mike would like that especially if he was witnessing it first hand.

I don't know. I think this show will/ has turned the tables with Walt and Jesse. Jesse has turned to the straight protagonist and Walt is the nut
I know jesse isn't morally straight but I'm tryin to say that Walt and Jesse have switched it the way the of feelings from viewers. Sorry if that makes no sense. Had surgery today not all there

Completely agree whoever said that there is a mole in the DEA. Makes sense it would be Gommie since he has power now and could have easily been corrupted while in El Paso. I think Hank's old boss was just skeptical of all that Hank was doing because he knew Gus and might have had a voice in his ear telling him hank isn't who he used to be cop-wise. He's constantly gotten pushed away from the blue meth case only to come back with more info. Plus showing Gomie as the mole would be an epic WTF moment.

I could definitely see Gomez being on the payroll, and being smart enough to not have a trackable bank acct. Straight Cash Homey.
Gomez is portrayed so far to either be a colossal dumbass or actively steering the investigation toward dead ends. At nearly every point in the investigation when Hank has asked him a question Gomez has discounted any suggestion or given a dipshit answer. Such as in s5e1 when they're checking the lab out, Hank points out the melted up camera and asks what Gomez thinks it is. Gommie says "Lab Equipment?". It's probably to boost Hank in the eyes of the viewers as a genius investigator, but he got a blowie from a dude before his wedding so he can't be all that intuitive.
Like I said they're probably writing it to prop up Hank, but it would play into the Gomez on the take twist. (if any of you BB writers are reading this, you better credit my arse, and get me into the writer's guild)
