Has anyone seen in yet?

I didn’t even know they made a movie about him, hadn’t seen any advertising for it. Went to see Gladiator 2 Wednesday and saw it listed on showtimes and that’s how I found out.
Probably gonna wait for streaming but it looks promising.

I watched it. Trailer looked better than the actual movie tho. It was a good storyline and that guy was a very brave dude. The ending wasn’t what I hoped for, but they made it factual since it was a true story. A lot of detail in the movie with making it look like it was filmed in the 40s.
I left the movie with a few questions. But, they can only fit so much in a 2 hour movie

It was good, though primarily a straight forward presentation of the facts of his life without much style or originality in the story telling. Mostly accurate although there were certainly some things added/subtracted/combined as is usual. If you’re interested in Bonhoeffer it’s good enough to be worth going to see. As he’s a hero of mine, I would have liked it to have been better and produced with more talented people than you’ll get with Angel Studios. But I am glad someone wanted to make it.

What was the story on the brother in law? I didn’t see anything about him being in the military during the movie. But then they wake him up one night and he has the plan on how to assassinate hitler. Then they show him in a uniform taking Bonhoeffer to a meeting with a general or something like that

Watched it last night.
Wasn’t good. Dragged for the first hour +
You could literally walk into the theater an hour into the film and have missed absolutely nothing.
Was very disappointed that they didn’t focus more on his spying for the Abwehr.
Was extremely disappointed how they completely changed (and misrepresented) his death.
The best thing about the film was the casting of excellent German actors, even though no German is spoken in the movie.
Moritz Bleibtrau (Run Lola Run, Baader-Meinhof Complex) plays his father. The actor from Inglorious Bastards (the SS officer from the pub scene) is his bishop. And DJ Flula Borg is his brother-in-law, to name a few.
