The Apple TV costs $100 (maybe a tiny bit more to track down an Apple TV 2). You'd be paying an extra $200 for something you could do yourself in 30 minutes with a little know-how.

You can jailbreak gen 1/2 in about 45 seconds with absolutely no knowledge of electronics FYI.
You download a program, run it, point the remote at apple tv, done. Literally.
Then you just install the apps like that seller did.
