A Propos de Nice

Watched this the other day. Interesting short showcase of Nice in 1929/1930. I watched it to see it as a trip through time and enjoyed it for that. I thought it was rather funny honestly.
And maybe I missed something. The version I watched was like 25 minutes so maybe there’s a longer version (wiki and IMDb differ).
But on the wiki for the movie, the director said this about the movie.
What? There is nothing like that in the movie. It shows all walks of life and yes, it shows people having fun. But there is nothing in the movie that shows this I feel like.
Directors have always been crazy.

quote:
"In this film, by showing certain basic aspects of a city, a way of life is put on trial... the last gasps of a society so lost in its escapism that it sickens you and makes you sympathetic to a revolutionary solution."[1]
