F1/Liberty hasn't banned flyovers.

Indycar is the only pure, legitimate racing series left (IMSA is ok too). Thankfully, Indycar somewhat has its shite together now for the first time since the mid 90s

And Indycar is working to frick it up as well with hybrids coming.

I clearly remember seeing them since the date in that article. And some of the climate nazis on a F1 board I frequent were screaming about it.

If Italy wants to fly some planes over Imola I don't think F1 can do much about it.

Anyway, yes I agree they are going too hard on the environmental bullshite. Most motorpsorts are and frankly I hope they destroy themselves on that alter.

There is talk of reviving an old idea called A1 GPX or something close that would be similar to current Indycar but international and no hybrids. I look forward to it.

They should revive Formula 5000. 5 liter normally aspirated production based engines in open wheel cars.

A1GP… it was billed as the “world cup of motorsports”

basically the teams represented a country and that was filled with some mid pack f2/ jr formula washout or some midpack sports car guy

it was kind of a joke series

What would be better is for The Captain to team up with DHL as co-title sponsor of the series to pay for the freight for an expanded schedule featuring fly-away races in the following locales:

- Argentina (already going to happen next year)

- Brasil

- Qatar/ Dubai/ Jeddah/Riyadh

- Japan

- Sweden/Denmark

-Germany (Hockenheim)

- UK (Brands Hatch)

-France (Magny Cours)
